About JEK Writes

JEK Writes is written and updated by Jessica Klimesh (she/her). As both a writer and editing professional, Jessica is immersed in some aspect of the writerly life on a daily basis. With JEK Writes, she hopes to offer insight and encouragement to other writers navigating the often-complex world of writing, revising/editing, and submitting work, while also keeping up with trends in the broader literary world.

Jessica Klimesh

Jessica’s creative work has appeared in dozens of literary journals, both online and in print, including Brink, Cleaver, Flash Frog, trampset, Gone Lawn, and Ghost Parachute; and her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best Microfiction, Best Small Fictions, and Best of the Net. She is currently working on several chapbook-length collections, learning to navigate the publishing world beyond literary journals. And as someone who is always looking to challenge herself and expand her literary horizons, Jessica has also recently started writing short plays.
